UltraBarrio Plus

Our understanding of a community is not rooted in our own locality, prior knowledge, assumptions, or past experiences. Instead, it emerges from our deep empathy, a profound respect for history, and attention to individual contexts. Our diverse cultural backgrounds provide perspective and lived experiences, emphasizing that every community is unique. Acknowledging their differences, celebrating their pride, and against all odds; their aspirations should be expressed. This kind of work is only possible if it is wanted and welcomed.

We create architecture and systems that forge connections between individuals and their environments. In our design process, outreach is indispensable. We engage in rigorous self-questioning, matching the intensity with which we question the community. This is why we don't often solely operate at an outreach capacity, but if you believe promises made and promises kept are important and aspire for the community's voice to shape their spaces, then let’s work together.
