We know that no place is like any other. We pursue work that allows us to coax out and celebrate the specificities of context, whether the site is an office interior or a slab of asphalt. User experience makes the difference between a successful, inclusive space where great things happen and an unused one. This January in Gulfton, for example, apartment complex parking lots will become the stage for a dynamic placemaking event. Versatile carts and stools printed with patterns that call back to a few of the more than forty countries from which Gulfton residents hold citizenship, an astroturf carpet, and a canopy of bright balloons will transform just four parking spaces into a vibrant place for residents and visitors to come together and acknowledge all of the things that make Gulfton great.
